With daylight saving time ending this weekend and colder temperatures approaching, this is a great time for our campus community to become familiar with GSU transportation and escort services. Here are the services available at GSU to navigate campus as days get shorter and temperatures get cooler:
Safety Escorts
Safety Escorts are available 24/7 to nearby parking decks, public and private parking lots, bus stops and train stations. You can request this service anytime you feel unsafe in your travels around campus by calling 404-413-3333. You can also request a Safety Escort via the Live Safe App. Safety Escorts are available for students and GSU staff.
SafeWalk
SafeWalk is also available through the Live Safe App. This function of the Live Safe App allows individuals to connect with friends as they walk around campus. In real time, you can ask friends to watch you walk to your destination.
Panther Express Bus Shuttle
GSU’s transit fleet, Panther Express, provides last-mile service between downtown Atlanta, the Fairlie-Poplar Business District, Sweet Auburn and Historic Summerhill. Students can park for free (after they register their vehicle) in the Convocation Center Deck and Green Lot at Center Parc Stadium and ride the shuttle to campus. Boarding fees and IDs are not required for the Panther Express and it is available for staff to utilize as well.
